Red Alert! Red Alert!
Tie Fighters are attacking the medical frigate. All pilots to their ships.
As Jim climbed up the ladder into his cockpit his new R2 unit was firing up the engines and powering up Bella’s weapons. The X wing lifted off the hangar floor and drifted toward the opening into space. His scope lit up with the red dots on his view screen showing where the Tie fighters were. Amongst the red dots was the large green dot of the rebel medical frigate. “Ok Bella off we go again girl!” If you want to see how this plays out follow us below through the tutorial for X wing Fantasy Flight’s Star Wars miniatures space fighting miniatures game.
Welcome to the World of X-WingLets first breakdown our profile for our hero Jim. In game terms Jim is an ace for Blue squadron. We see that in his flight card and stand markers here.
While Jim has a life and career in the Star Wars universe, in our game we need to bring his skills and ship abilities to life. Those abilities are shown in the following numbers on both his flight stand and on his card. The first value we see is Jims flight ability which is a 5. This and all the numbers will be demonstrated in our battle with the Imperial Tie fighters attacking the medical frigate.
The red three shows the primary weapons value for Bella, Jim’s X-wing, which determines how many dice he gets to roll when he attacks the Imperials. The next value is the defensive value of the x wing which in this case is a green 2.
This determines how many dice Jim and Bella get to roll to defend themselves when the Imperials shoot at them. The next value we see is the structure value of the X wing which in our case is a 3.
The next number is the shield value for the X wing which in our case is a 3.
The next thing we see is the action bar, this represents special abilities for the X wing
In General the higher the number the better in this game. With that in mind lets see what our imperial opponent looks like in his Tie Fighter
The combatants have been set and now we can go into the battle sequence in our next page. Let me know what you think about my site.
